Some were driven out from their residence area and some were abused physically or verbally by the students and lo 酒店工作cal society until today, according to many workers.A Thai police from Jom Thong district told that, “Because people from Burma do not have unity and uneducated, so we can kill them anytime we want,” a local worker quoted a poli 酒肉朋友ce officer as saying. “Killing a person from Burma is like killing a dog.” On 12 February in the evening, 4 Shan migrant workers who returned from their works were beaten by a group of student in front of the Mae Joe University, said Sai M 房地產u from Mae Jo.“They were over 40 students including girls who beat them. No one went to help them,” he said. “Police also saw the students beating them, but they just stood near and smiled.”On the following day, an NGO worker [name indentified] tried to go 酒店工作to the University aiming to find a way to solve the current problem; however, he was warned off by a teacher from the University, according to a reliable source.“Don’t come, if not I cannot guarantee your safety,” a source quoted as the teacher saying.On 14 February, Shan c 術後面膜ommunity who were working in Pong Yeng was driven out from the area by the local villagers and now they are hiding in the jungle, said a reliable source.Likewise, over 60 migrant workers including children from Sankampheng district have been hiding in the jungle since the raid began, said Sai 591 Awn Kham.“They have no food to eat. But, they sometimes come at night to fetch their things,” he added.Now, the arrests are hitting the Shan community in Hang Dong, Mae Taeng, Mae Rim and Saraphee all satellite districts of Chiangmai.
